I joined Karamjeet Singh Sir and Nirvana IAS Academy in 2013, after my preliminary examinations and was at sea as to my strategy for the mains examinations. My first counseling session with Karam sir is still etched in my memory, for his cordiality and igneous approach as well as his deep insight into the selection procedure and syllabus. I, immediately, decided to prepare for my mains and interview under his guidance.
Gradually, the relationship transformed from being professional to a personal one, where sir was not content with teaching become a mentor with continuous monitoring of my progress and periodical motivation sessions. Throughout this period of over one and half years, I could study with assurance that my preparation is on the right track under his guidance and I was saved from unnecessary frustration and waste of time in constant search for test series or material from other institutions.
He helped all students to study ‘smartly, and did not burden us with useless material. His understanding of the capacity of a student to progress either slowly or rapidly helped his to take his students on the right track. Especially for the GS-IV paper, his approach of minimum study and maximum thinking saved me from trouble, as opposed to other coaching centres burdening their students with heaps of reading material, which proved pointless from exam point of view.
I am sure, that ‘conversion ratio’ of candidates into successful officers is substantially higher with Nirvana IAS Academy as compared to other institutes claiming large number of selections. Thus, perspective candidates have the highest chances of success under guidance and mentorship of Karam sir.
I admire his ‘honest approach’ to coaching, including taking only small batches of students and giving his all to make their success his goal. I am very much grateful to sir and hope the association and friendship continues for life.
