EXTREME RAINFALL EVENTS AND FLOODS

It is being reported that extreme rainfall events are increasing over India and widespread floods have increased threefold over the last several decades from an average of two events per year to six events per year. OZONE

Ozone is a naturally occuring gas in the upper atmosphere (Stratosphere). It protects life on Earth from Sun's UV radiation. In the lower atmosphere (Troposphere) near Earth's surface, it is created by chemical reactions between air pollutants from vehicle exhaust, gasolione vapours and other emissions. At ground level, high concentrations of ozone are toxic to people and plants.
